LAWRENCE, Kan. – Martina Okalova represented the Golden Hurricane women's tennis in the semifinals of the ITA Regionals, on Sunday. Okalova won her quarterfinals matchup against OSU's Marina Guinart, 6-1 and 6-3. Okalova fell in the semifinals to Kansas' Debbie Vogasari, 6-0 and 6-1.
In the quarterfinal match, the No. 15 seed Martina Okalova faced the No. 12 seed Marina Guinart of OSU. Okalova only surrendered one game in the first set, as she took the opening set, 6-1. In the second set, Guinart won three games, but Okalova won the set, 6-3.
The No. 15 seed Okalova then had a match against the No. 17 seed Debbie Vogasari of Kansas, in a semifinals matchup. Vogasari won the opening set, 6-0, before she took the second set, 6-1.
Tulsa will return to action on Nov. 3, as it travels to the SMU Invite. The SMU Invite will run from Nov. 3 until Nov. 5.
