• Temple enters the game looking for its 6th win to get Bowl eligible
THE TULSA-TEMPLE SERIES . . .
• This is 4th meeting between Tulsa and Temple.
• Tulsa won the first two meetings when the teams met in non-conference games, winning in 1987 in Philadelphia (24-17) and a year later in Tulsa (15-10).
• Temple's win came in 2014 (35-24), which was Tulsa's first as a member of the American Athletic Conference.
BREWER SETS ALL-TIME TULSA & AMERICAN RUSHING RECORDS . . .
• A quarterback in high school, D'Angelo Brewer was recruited to Tulsa with plans to play running back.
• Brewer became the school's and American Athletic Conference's career rushing leader in the same game with 163 yards against #23 USF … he needed 110 yards to tie the AAC record (Marlon Mack, USF, 2014-16, 3,609 yards) and 152 to tie Tulsa's previous career record-holder Tarrion Adams (2005-08) mark of 3,651 yards.
• Now, Brewer has 3,662 career yards and 22 touchdowns on 719 carries for a 5.1 career average in 45 career games.
• Brewer is one of only 4 running backs in school history to rush for over 3,000 career yards.
TULSA QUICK HITS . . .
• Senior PK Redford Jones is the school's all-time leader for scoring with 311 points … he surpassed the record of 299 with 10 points in Game 9 at SMU.
• Tulsa has had 21 freshmen (true or red-shirt) play in at least one game this year.
• A total of 16 players have made their first collegiate start this year, starting at least one game –– 6 on offense and 10 on defense.
• 21 players have made at least one start on defense this year … only seniors – DE Jeremy Smith and LB Craig Suits – have started all 11 games.
• D'Angelo Brewer ranks 2nd in the American Athletic Conference for rushing with an average of 122.1 yards, but is the leading running back … he and Navy QB Zach Abey are the only league players averaging over 100 yards per game.
• McKinley Whitfield has 7 double-digit tackle games, and had 6 consecutively.
• Of his 71 completions in 7 games, RS-freshman QB Luke Skipper has had 19 completions for over 20 yards, including 7 completions for 50 yards or more.
THE SENIOR CLASS . . .

• The defensive seniors are: DE Jesse Brubaker, DE Frankie Davis Jr., LB CJ Gooden, DE Jake Hanks, DT Kolton Shindelar, DE Jeremy Smith, LB Craig Suits, CB Kerwin Thomas and LB Petera Wilson Jr.

SENIOR PK REDFORD JONES IS TULSA'S ALL-TIME SCORING LEADER . . .
• Senior placekicker Redford Jones came into the season with 239 points, needing 60 points to tie for the school's all-time scoring record.
• He broke the record in the 9th game at SMU when he scored 10 points on 2 FGs and 4-of-4 PATs … his field goals in that game were 49 and a career-best 51 yards.
• In 44 career games, Jones now has 311 career points surpassing the previous record of 299 points, held by another kicker Kevin Fitzpatrick (2008-11).
• He now has scored 72 points this year on 10-of-13 field goals and 42-of-43 PATs.
• His 48 career field goals made ranks 5th on Tulsa's all-time chart, as he trails the all-time leader, Jason Staurovsky (53 FGs, 1981, '83-85), by 5 field goals.
• Jones had his previous career-best of 50 yards earlier this season against New Mexico, bettering his previous-best of 46 yards.
• His 50-yarder vs. New Mexico was the first 50-yard field goal for a Tulsa kicker since Nov. 25, 2011.
ANOTHER TOUGH ONE, BUT DEFENSE HAS SOUND PERFORMANCE . . .
• Tulsa battled #23 USF to the wire, but came out on the short end 27-20.
• The Hurricane defense gave up 3 explosive plays for touchdowns in the 1st quarter, including a 25-yard pass, 54-yard run and a 35-yard pass and Tulsa had a 21-7 deficit at the end of one period.
• Tulsa's defense clamped down and allowed just the USF offense to just 6 points and 192 yards in the final 3 periods.
• The Hurricane defense recovered a fumble in the 2nd quarter, caused by sophomore Diamon Cannon and recovered by Jesse Brubaker, and Cannon intercepted a pass in the end zone halting a possible USF score in the 3rd quarter.
• Tulsa's defense held USF to just 82 second-half yards, and 47 yards of that came on one drive in which Cannon made the interception.
• USF's other second-half drives amounted to 0, 19, 17, -7, 9 and -2 yards.
TWO IN JUST FOUR YEARS . . .
• Tulsa has been a member of the 5-year American Athletic Conference for 4 years.
• In those 4 seasons, Tulsa has the league's all-time passing leader Dane Evans with 10,782 yards in his 3 years in the conference (2014-16).
• In the USF game, running back D'Angelo Brewer (2014-17) gave Tulsa the league's career rushing leader as well with 3,662 career yards … current USF QB Quinton Flowers trails Brewer by 198 rushing yards.
