Tulsa Returns Home for Two Conference Matchups

TULSA, Okla. – The Golden Hurricane return to the Donald W. Reynolds Center for two conference matchups. Tulsa hosts UConn on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. and Temple on Saturday, Nov. 11, at noon.

Tulsa leads the overall series against UConn, 6-1. The Golden Hurricane defeated the Huskies, 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-18), earlier this season. The Huskies lost to #20 Wichita State on Friday, 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-11), but rebounded on Sunday against Memphis with a five-set victory, 3-2 (25-22, 15-25, 14-25, 25-13, 15-10). Emma Turner leads UConn with 912 assists, which is fourth in The American. Kayla Williams is third in the conference with 3.88 kills per set.

The Owls lead the overall series with the Golden Hurricane, 6-1. Temple won the meeting earlier this season, 3-1 (22-25, 25-14, 27-25, 25-16). The Owls were knocked off by Memphis, on Friday, 3-2 (17-25, 25-16, 25-17, 22-25, 15-13), before being defeated by #20 Wichita State on Sunday, 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-23). Kyra Coundourides leads Temple with 792 assists. Izzy Rapacz leads the Owls' attack with 282 kills.
