
Rapp Named Field Athlete of the Week for Second Time

The University of Tulsa Track and Field freshman Aleks Rapp was named The American Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive time as announced by the conference on Tuesday morning.

Rapp (Toronto, Canada) broke his own school record in the weight throw for the second time this season with a new personal-best toss of 70 feet, 10 inches (21.59m) at the Arkansas Qualifier on Friday. Rapp's throw moved him up 12 spots nationally in the event, jumping from No. 25 to No. 13 in the NCAA.

The Track and Field team will be in action this weekend as they travel to Birmingham, Ala. for The American Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday.
