The University of Tulsa women's golf team placed 10th overall in a field of 18 teams at the Amelia Island Collegiate on Tuesday, while freshman Greta Bruner also finished in 10th place individually at the 54-hole event.
 
The Golden Hurricane turned in a final round 297 to finish with a 909 total at the par-72 Amelia National Golf Club in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Bruner carded a third round two-over par 74 and finished with a score of four-over par 220 for her 10th place performance. It was Bruner's third top-15 finish in six tournaments this year.
 
Tulsa senior Nadia Majidizadeh, from Tulsa's Union High School, moved up eight places to finish the tournament in 21st place after carding a final round one-over par 73 for a 224 total. Sophomore Anneke Strobach had Tulsa's best round of the day with an even-par 72 and completed the tournament in 41st place with a 229 total.
 
Freshman Taylor Dobson, from Broken Arrow (Okla.) High School, finished in 70th place with a 237 total, while senior Nicole Marquardt totaled a three-round score of 240 to finish in 81st place.
 
Mercer University held on for a three-stroke victory over Campbell University, 873 to 876, while Campbell's Annelie Sjoholm claimed medalist honors with a six-under par score of 210, overtaking second-round leader Jiwon Jeon of Daytona State College for a one-stroke victory.
 
Tulsa will be in action next at The Dickson, Feb. 27-28, at The Woodlands Country Club in The Woodlands, Texas.
