Tulsa to Face Memphis in American Athletic Conference Championship First Round

The No. 9 seed Tulsa women's basketball team will face No. 8 seed Memphis in the American Athletic Conference Championship First Round on Friday, March 3 beginning at 3:00 pm Central at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. The TU-Memphis game will be televised live on ESPN3.com.

Tulsa and Memphis met just once this season, with the Golden Hurricane earning a 57-52 at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on January 4.

TU owns an 8-7 lead in the all-time series with the Tigers, including a 1-0 mark in neutral site games (an 85-63 win in the First Round of the 2008 Conference USA Tournament).

The winner of the Tulsa-Memphis game will face No. 1 seed and No. 1 ranked UConn on Saturday, March 4 beginning at 1:00 pm Central.
