Majidizadeh in Second Place; Tulsa Women Jump Two Spots into 5th Place

The University of Tulsa senior golfer Nadia Majidizadeh moved up to second-place Monday after second round action at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate.
 
Majidizadeh, from Tulsa Union High School, shot a one-under par score of 71 Monday and moved from fifth to second-place with a 36-hole total score of 143, just four strokes behind leader Elsa Moberly (68-71=139) of Eastern Kentucky.

As a team, the Hurricane turned in a round of 298 at the par-72 Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia. Tulsa moved up two spots from seventh-place to fifth-place with a two-round total of 601, and just 11 strokes behind first-place Eastern Kentucky.
 
Kansas State (591) is in second place, followed by Murray State (595) Winthrop (599) and Tulsa rounding out the top-5 schools.
 
Hurricane freshman Greta Bruner moved up from 22nd place to 12th place in the individual race after turning in a round of one-over par 73 for a total score of 149. Sophomore Anneke Strobach is in 22nd place overall with a score of 151 after today's round of 75. Fellow sophomore Olivia Jackson is in 53rd place with a 159 total, while junior Nicole Marquardt is in 71st place at 166.
 
Freshman Taylor Dobson, who is playing the tournament as an individual, is in 60th place with a 36-hole score of 160 after turning in a score of 77 today.
 
Final round action takes place on Tuesday as Tulsa tees-off at 9:00 a.m.
