Tulsa’s Nadia Majidizadeh Places Third at John Kirk/Panther Invitational

Senior golfer Nadia Majidizadeh finished in third-place Tuesday, while leading the Tulsa Golden Hurricane women's golf team to a seventh-place performance at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate.
 
Majidizadeh, from Tulsa Union High School, carded a final round 77 and finished with a three-round total of four-over par 220 for her top performance of the season and the fifth top-25 finish this year for the Tulsa senior.
 
As a team, the Hurricane carded a final round 310 and finished with a 911 score at the par-72 Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia. Eastern Kentucky and Murray State tied for team honors with identical score of 888. Murray State made up a five-stroke deficit on the final day to tie Eastern Kentucky.
 
Hurricane freshman Greta Bruner finished in 12th place with a final score of 224 after totaling Tulsa's best round on Tuesday of 75. Sophomore Anneke Strobach placed 28th overall with a score of 229, while fellow sophomore Olivia Jackson finished in 55th place with a 239 total. Junior Nicole Marquardt placed 75th with a final score of 250.
 
Freshman Taylor Dobson, who played the tournament as an individual, finished in 68th place with a score of 246.
 
Eastern Kentucky's Elsa Moberly held onto the lead from start-to-finish and completed the 54-hole tournament with a four-under par 212 score.
 
Tulsa will host the Dale McNamara Invitational on April 10-11, at the Tulsa Country Club, previous host site of the 1999 and 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship.
