Hurricane to Host Memphis in First Conference Home Series This Weekend

3/30/2017 10:17:00 AM | Softball

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Softball team will host their first American Athletic Conference three-game series of the weekend as the welcome in the Memphis Tigers to the Collins Family Softball Complex at 5 p.m. tomorrow. The series will wrap up on Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. with Sunday's originally scheduled game three to be played following game two.

The Hurricane (23-10 Overall, 3-0 The American) are on a nine-game winning streak heading into the second weekend of conference play after sweeping USF on the road last week while outscoring the Bulls 17-3 in the series. Tulsa owns a 25-6 all-time series advantage over Memphis (19-14 Overall, 2-1 The American), having split the pair of three-game series after TU joined the conference in 2015. Memphis won last year's series two games to one while Tulsa swept the Tigers in 2015.

Tulsa's series against Memphis will continue on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m. before the weekend wraps up on Sunday at noon with game three.
