Scott Named The American Track Athlete of the Week After 5,000-Meter Win at Mt. SAC Relays

TULSA, Okla. – Marc Scott of The University of Tulsa Track and Field team was named The American Athletic Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week after posting the second-fastest time in the NCAA in the 5,000-meter run at the Mt. SAC Relays over the weekend en route to a first-place finish in the event.
Scott's winning run of 13:37.45 is tops in The American this season in the event while the time was the senior's second-fastest in his career, just .64 seconds behind his program-record time in the 5,000-meter.
The Tulsa Track and Field team will be back in action this weekend at the John Jacobs Invitational in Norman, Okla. before traveling to Des Moines, Iowa for the Drake Relays on April 26-29.
