Tulsa Falls to Tulane in Conference Play 6-1

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Tulsa Men's Tennis team took the doubles point in their American Athletic Conference match against Tulane at the City Park Tennis Center before the Green Wave took the singles matches in a 6-1 result.

Jarod Hing and Daniel Santos put Tulsa in position to win the doubles point against Tyler Schick and Ewan Moore with a 6-4 win that gave them their 10^th win of the season as a pairing.

Dominic Bechard and Okkie Kellerman clinched the point to put the Hurricane up 1-0 at the No. 2 position with a win over Sebastian Rey and Tim Ruetzel, 6-4.

Tulane picked up two early wins in singles competition at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots as Jarod Hing fell to Ewan Moore 6-2, 6-0 before No. 26-ranked Or Ram-Harel retired in his match against the Green Wave's No. 22-ranked Constantin Schmitz.

Tulsa fell behind 3-1 as Daniel Santos was defeated by Luis Erlenbusch at No. 5 before Tulane took the clinching point in a Chi-Shan Jao win over Okkie Kellerman 6-3, 6-0.

Dominic Bechard bounced back against Tyler Schick after dropping the first set 6-1, rallying to take the second 6-4 to sent it to a tight third set in which Schick went on to win 6-4.

Majed Kilani and Sebastian Rey played a tight match throughout in the No. 2 singles contest as both players won the first and second set 7-6. A 10-point tiebreak third set needed another point as Rey went on to take it 11-9.
