Tulsa Women Take Top-Four in 3,000-Meters at Baylor Invitational

WACO, Texas – The University of Tulsa Women's Track and Field team swept top four spots the 3,000-meter run at the Baylor Invitational on Saturday at the Hart Track and Field Stadium. The men's side took runner-up finishes three events including the 800-meter, 1,500-meter and 3,000-meter steeplechase.
 
Avery Culpepper set the pace in the 3,000-meter run as she posted a 10:11.66 time with Olivia Lopez running second with a run of 10:13.45 while Reagan Hausmann and Caitlin Klopfer placed third and fourth respectively.
 
Aaliyah Birmingham finished in the top-five in the 100-meter dash and top-10 in the 200-meters as she clocked times of 11.53 and 23.95 in the two sprints.
 
Alyssa Bolliger took first-place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:59.76 while Ashley Barnes finished as the runner-up with a time of 11:18.17.
 
Olivia Gallagher finished as the runner-up with a time of 4:45.61 in the 1,500-meter as both the TU women and men ran strong in the event with Adam Breaux running second with a 3:57.95 time. Isaac Dobos placed fourth for the men with a run of 4:00.27.
 
Robert Tully gave the Hurricane another two-four finish on the day, this in the 800-meter as Tully took second with a time of 1:51.75 while Grey Howard posted a run of 1:52.07.
 
Dallas Elmore was the runner-up in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a finish of 10:04.22.
 
Tulsa returns to the track next weekend at the Mt. SAC Relays in California on April 13-15.
