TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Softball team entered both of the latest top-25 polls, coming in at No. 24 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball rankings and No. 25 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll.
Tulsa was last ranked in both polls in the early part of the 2015 season, ranking as high as No. 21 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll and No. 22 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.
The Hurricane (36-13 Overall, 14-1 The American) clinched the outright American Athletic Conference regular season title with a sweep of East Carolina last weekend while extending their winning streak to 10 games dating back to April 13.
Tulsa returns to the diamond this weekend for a three-game series against UCF at the Collins Family Softball Complex. Game one is set for Friday at 5 p.m. with the conference championship trophy presentation scheduled after the conclusion of Saturday's 3 p.m. contest. The regular season will wrap up on Sunday at noon with game three.
