
Or Ram-Harel Begins NCAA Tennis Singles Championship Competition Wednesday

ATHENS, Ga. –– University of Tulsa senior Or Ram-Harel begins competition Wednesday, May 24, in the Round of 64 at the NCAA Division I Tennis Singles Championship. Ram-Harel, ranked 34th nationally, will face 35th-ranked Jordan Daigle of LSU with a match time of 7:00 a.m. (CT) at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
The winner will face the winner of #5-seed Christopher Eubanks of Georgia Tech vs. 60th-ranked Martin Redlicki of UCLA on Thursday in second round action.
Ram-Harel, who was an American Athletic Conference all-singles team performer this year, is making his third consecutive NCAA tournament singles appearance. Last year, Ram-Harel won his opening round match against No. 20-ranked Konrad Zieba of Northwestern, but fell in the second round to No. 14 Joao Monteiro of Virginia Tech.
Ram-Harel enters this year's tournament ranked 34th nationally with 10 victories on the season after facing 13 nationally-ranked players. He was ranked as high as No. 23 in the nation on February 8, putting together a season in which he has defeated No. 6-ranked Christian Sigsgaard, No. 16 Wayne Montgomery and No. 21 Spencer Papa.
The NCAA singles portion of the tournament continues each day until the championship match on Monday, May 29.
