TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa and Kansas State have agreed to a three-game series that will open on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kan., as part of the Wichita Wildcat Classic. The teams will meet at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Dec. 8, 2018, and close the series on a date to be determined in 2019 at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kan.

"Coach Weber and I had discussed a series for quite a while and I'm glad we were able to make it work," head men's basketball coach Frank Haith said. "We have a tremendous amount of respect for the Kansas State program and its fanbase, so the series makes a great deal of sense. It's a regional opponent that allows both fanbases to travel to Wichita, Tulsa and Manhattan with relative ease and gives us another Power Six non-conference opponent for the next three seasons. Scheduling regional programs that keep your student-athletes in class, enhance your RPI and have name recognition for your fanbase is just smart scheduling."

The upcoming Wichita Wildcat Classic contest will mark the seventh all-time meeting between the programs, with the Golden Hurricane having won five of the previous six matchups against Kansas State. Tulsa won the first four games in the series, which dates back to the 1965-66 season, and it claimed a 72-61 victory in the last meeting against the Wildcats on Dec. 12, 1990. This will be the first meeting at a neutral site.

Tickets for the contest at INTRUST Bank Arena will go on sale starting Sept. 5 and can be purchased from Select-A-Seat or by calling 855-755-SEAT (7328).

The full non-conference schedule will be released at a later date.
