TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Women's Tennis team landed two players on the American Athletic All-Conference Team as Dobby Leenabanchong and Ksenia Laskutova were selected while Leenabanchong earned Co-Player of the Year honors.
Leenabanchong posted a 23-9 record at the No. 2 spot for the Hurricane this season with a 15-6 mark in dual singles play. The senior added a 24-7 record with Martha Matoula in doubles play while doing 17-4 in dual competition. Leenabanchong's all-conference honor marks the second time that she has been named to the all-conference team and second straight Player of the Year award for Tulsa as Saana Saarteinen received the award in 2016.
Laskutova played all of her 22 dual matches at the No. 1 singles position for the Hurricane, going 11-11 with a 17-13 overall record and two wins over nationally ranked opponents. The junior was also named to the all-conference in 2016 in addition to being named The American Co-Freshman of the Year in 2015.
No. 40-ranked Tulsa returns to the court on May 13 as they are scheduled to make their 11th straight NCAA Tournament appearance against No. 21-ranked LSU in Berkeley, Calif.
