Tulsa Finishes Fourth in USTFCCCA Program of the Year Standings

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Men's Track and Field and Cross Country teams finished the 2016-17 ranked fourth in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Program of the Year standings with 39 points. The award honors institutions that have achieved the most success in each academic year base on finishes at the NCAA Championships in cross country along with indoor and outdoor track and field.
 
The Hurricane finished with 39 points in the scoring system that is based on each team's finish at the championships in each respective season with the team who has the least amount of points (1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, 11th = 11 points) being awarded USTFCCCA Program of the Year Status. Tulsa finished 15th at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last weekend to go along with their 13th place finish in the national indoor meet and an 11th place finish at The NCAA Cross Country Championships in November.
