Tulsa will race a Lightweight 8+ and Lightweight 4+ at the 2017 IRA National Championship Regatta at Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif., on Saturday and Sunday, June 3rd and 4th.

The two Golden Hurricane boats will begin with Heats on Saturday morning, followed by the Repechage in the afternoon (if needed), and the Finals on Sunday morning.  In the Four, TU will take on Boston, Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Stanford and Wisconsin, while the Eight will face those six teams, as well as Georgetown.

The latest USRowing Collegiate Lightweight 8+ Poll includes Stanford (1st), Wisconsin (2nd), Princeton (3rd), Harvard (4th), Tulsa (5th), Boston (6th), Georgetown (7th) and MIT (8th).

"We are sending a great group of lightweights to the IRA this year," Head Coach Kevin Harris said.  "Our boats have performed well all season and this is a chance for our team to show its stuff against other lightweight specific programs.  They had a great showing at the Knecht Cup earlier this year and we are all excited to compete for the National Championships this weekend."
