Hall of Fame Weekend is set for September 29-30, 2017
TULSA, Oklahoma –– Four-sport letterman Ed Dubie, pole vaulter David Smoot, football lineman Wes Hamilton, four-time first-team golf All-American Stacy Prammanasudh, softball All-American Lauren Lindsay and the 1982 Golden Hurricane football team were announced today as The University of Tulsa's Athletic Hall of Fame Class for 2017.
ED DUBIE (Football, Baseball, Track & Basketball, 1928-31) earned 12 letters, one a year in four sports. He was a quarterback on the football team and led Tulsa to a 26-6 win over Arkansas in the first game ever played at Skelly Stadium in 1930. Dubie was a guard/forward on the basketball team and captained the team for three seasons. He later went on to become the most successful football coach in Sand Springs (Okla.) history
A three-time pole vault champion, DAVID SMOOT (Men's Track & Field, 1960-63) was a member of the only Tulsa track & field teams to win the Missouri Valley Conference Championship in 1961 and 1962. He won the MVC pole vault championship for three consecutive years and set an MVC record each year, including his best vault of 14'5" as a senior in 1963.
WES HAMILTON (Football, 1971-75) was an all-Missouri Valley Conference offensive guard in 1974 and 1975 for the Golden Hurricane, while earning recognition as Tulsa's Best Blocking Lineman as a junior. Hamilton, who was picked in the third round of the 1976 NFL Draft, had a solid nine-year professional career with the Minnesota Vikings.
STACY PRAMMANASUDH (Golf, 1998-02) was a four-time first-team NGCA All-American, becoming only the second athlete to earn first-team All-America honors in all four years (1999-2002). She played in all 44 collegiate tournaments and was the individual medalist in 10 career events, just one shy of Nancy Lopez's school record 11 tournament wins. Prammanasudh was named the three-time Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
The first-ever Hall of Fame inductee from the sport of softball is LAUREN LINDSAY (Softball, 2007-10). She was a 2010 NSCA third-team All-American, while being named the 2010 C-USA Player of the Year. Lindsay concluded her career with a .357 batting average, 50 home runs and a .671 slugging percentage. A three-time first-team all-Conference USA selection, Lindsay also earned NSCA All-Region honors in 2009 and 2010.
The 1982 TULSA FOOTBALL TEAM, still considered one of the top teams in school history, became just the fourth team in school history to post 10 victories. The Hurricane posted a 10-1 record with wins over Air Force, Oklahoma State and Kansas, with the only loss coming on the road at the hands of #13-ranked Arkansas. Tulsa won a third-straight Missouri Valley Conference title with a 6-0 league record.
The Hall of Fame Weekend is set for September 29-30, as the induction ceremony will take place on Friday night, Sept. 29, at the Lorton Performance Center on the TU campus. The inductees will also be recognized at halftime of the Tulsa-Navy football game on Saturday, Sept. 30.
The University of Tulsa Athletic Hall of Fame Awards Reception & Induction Ceremony is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, at the Lorton Performance Center. Tickets for the Hall of Fame reception are $40 per person. Reservations only accepted and must be made by calling the Golden Hurricane Club office at 918-631-2342. The deadline to make reservations is Friday, Sept. 15.

Men's Track & Field, 1960-63
Was a pole vaulter at Tulsa … member of the only Tulsa teams to win the Missouri Valley Conference Championship in 1961 and 1962 … was the first-ever repeat champion in the Missouri Valley Conference … won the MVC pole vault championship for three consecutive years (1961, '62, '63) and set an MVC record each year … set the league's pole vault record in both 1962 and 1963 … his jumps reached 13'6" in 1961, 14'2.5" in 1962 and 14'5" in 1963.
WES HAMILTON (Football, 1971-75) was an all-Missouri Valley Conference offensive guard in 1974 and 1975 … was named Tulsa's Best Blocking Lineman in 1974 … Hamilton went on to play multiple years for the Minnesota Vikings.

Women's Golf, 1998-02
Was a four-time first-team NGCA All-American, becoming only the second athlete to earn first-team All-America honors in all four years (1999-2002) … played in all 44 collegiate tournaments ... was the individual medalist in 10 career tournaments, just one shy of Nancy Lopez's school record 11 tournament wins … named three-time Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year … a four-time all-WAC selection … earned WAC Player of the Week nine times in her career … placed among the top-10 in 33 of 44 career tournaments … placed among the top-20 in 41 career tournaments, and had 25 top-five career finishes … placed either first or second 15 times … was ranked among the top-10 golfers during her entire collegiate career … as a senior, ranked second nationally for most of the season … completed her senior season ranked second in the Golfstat Cup ratings and the Golfweek/Sagarin Ratings … placed among the top-5 in eight of 11 tournaments as a senior and won four tournament titles –– Big 12 Invitational, Stanford Intercollegiate, WAC Championship and the NCAA Central Regional … finished among the top-15 in all 11 events as a senior … represented the United States in the US/Japan Collegiate Golf Championships in June 1999 … qualified for the 2001 U.S. Open Championship and U.S. Amateur Championship.

Was a 2010 NSCA third-team All-American … was the 2010 C-USA Player of the Year … had a career .357 batting average with 50 home runs and a career .671 slugging percentage … was an NSCA All-Region selection in 2009 and 2010 … earned first-team all-Conference USA honors in 2008, 2009 and 2010 … became the school's single-season record-holder for batting average (.406) and still has the three highest slugging percentages for a single season at .812 in 2010, .747 in 2008 and .652 in 2009 … still ranks 2nd and 3rd for highest on-base percentage for a single season with .505 in 2010 and .486 in 2009 … still ranks first for single-season home runs with 18 in 2010 … hit .377 with 18 home runs and a .812 slugging percentage as a senior … batted .406 with nine home runs as a junior and hit .360 with 15 home runs and 46 RBI her sophomore season.
