Five Tulsa Rowers Named to 2016-17 IRA All-Academic Team

Sam Barber, Audrey Brown, Stephanie Call, Lindsay Crute and Julia Herrell were named to the 2016-17 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) All-Academic Team, as announced by the IRA Board of Stewards.

Barber, Brown and Herrell were all members of the Lightweight 8+ that finished second in the Lightweight 8+ Petite Final, while Call and Crute raced the Lightweight 4+ to a seventh-place Grand Final finish at the 2017 IRA Lightweight National Championship earlier this season.

To be eligible for recognition a student-athlete must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.35 or higher, completed one full year at their institution (freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible), be an institutional letter winner and also competed at the 2017 IRA National Championship Regatta. In all, 336 student-athletes from 32 member institutions were recognized.
