Tulsa Soccer Teams Assist in Raising Money for Crash Victims at Home Opener Friday

The University of Tulsa athletics is waiving admission fee to the Golden Hurricane Soccer home openers this Friday, Aug. 25, in an effort to assist the families affected by a tragic July 17 automobile accident on I-35. Donations will be accepted at the Hurricane Soccer & Track Stadium entrance and all funds will go to the affected families.
The Memorial Night double-header features the Tulsa women vs. Kansas at 5:30 p.m., and the Golden Hurricane men vs. Wisconsin at 8:30 p.m. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.
The accident occurred when the group was returning to Tulsa from a soccer tournament. All had strong ties to the soccer community and were members of the Tulsa Soccer Club. The children involved in the crash were members of Jenks Public Schools.
