Tulsa Women Golfers in 11th Place at Jim West Challenge

The Woodlands, Texas –– The Tulsa women's golf team opened the 2017 fall season today and sits in an 11th place tie after two rounds at the Jim West Challenge. Golden Hurricane junior Johanna Samuelsson carded a one-over par 143 for 22nd place on Monday at the par-71 Fazio Course at The Club at Carlton Woods.
 
Tulsa turned in rounds of 296 and 298 for a 594 total, while Samuelsson had rounds of two-over par 73 and one-under par 70 on the first day of the tournament.
 
Junior Anneke Strobach is in 42nd place with rounds of 77-71 for a six-over par 148 score, while senior Nicole Marquardt is in 58th place with a 152 total. Freshman Randi Romack had a solid first collegiate round of golf with an even-par score of 71, but in second round play totaled an 82 for a 153 total and 59th place.
 
Junior Olivia Jackson is in 66th place after rounds of 75 and 82 for a 157 total.
 
Duke leads the tournament by 14 strokes over second-place Oklahoma, as the Blue Devils turned in rounds of 269 and 273 for a -26-under par 542 total.
 
The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday.
