
Tulsa Women Golfers in 2nd Place at Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational

Manhattan, Kansas ––Tulsa juniors Olivia Jackson and Johanna Samuelsson paced the Golden Hurricane women's golf team to a second-place performance Sunday at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational.
Jackson and Samuelsson carded one-over par scores of 73 during first round action at the par-72 Colbert Hills Golf Course in leading the Hurricane to a team score of 299.
Senior Nicole Marquardt, along with sophomore teammate Taylor Dobson, who is playing as an individual, are tied for 14th place after shooting rounds of 76. Freshman Randi Romack is in 22nd place with a score of 77, while junior Anneke Strobach's round of 79 is good for 36th place.
Host Kansas State leads the field after an opening round 287 for an 11-stroke lead, while the Wildcats take up the first four individual places.
Second round action takes place on Monday with 18 holes, while the final round will be played on Tuesday.
