• Tulsa is in its 118th season of football this year.
• The two teams are among the smallest by enrollment in the FBS … Tulsa has the smallest FBS enrollment with 3,406 students, while Navy is the 5th smallest at 4,525 students
• This is the second of three consecutive weeks that Tulsa will face a team running a version of the option.
• The two teams are each ranked among the top-5 in the nation for rushing … Navy ranks 2nd with 393.0 yards per game, while Tulsa is 4th at 311.5 yards.
• Tulsa averages 38.5 points per game, while Navy scores at a 35.7 clip.
• Navy's defense gives up only 96.3 yards rushing to rank 15th nationally, while Tulsa allows 294.5 rushing yards.

• This is the 5th meeting between Tulsa and Navy.
• The Midshipmen lead the series 3-1 … the first two games in the series were played when the two teams were non-conference opponents.
• Navy has a 2-0 record in Tulsa, winning by a margin of 26 points in those two games.
• The last game in Tulsa came in 2015 when the #16-ranked Navy Midshipmen claimed a 44-21 win.
• Tulsa's lone win came in the 2006 season in Annapolis, 24-23, in overtime.

• D'Angelo Brewer is ranked 4th nationally for most rushing yards with 578 yards for a 144.5 game average, which ranks 6th in the nation for yards per game.
• Tulsa's 66 points scored vs. Louisiana is tied for the 3rd most points in the NCAA this year, only behind Oregon's 77 and Missouri's 72.
• Tulsa had back-to-back 400+ rushing games, including 424 yards vs. Louisiana and 423 yards at Toledo… while last week was held to under 200 rushing yards.
BREWER NEARING 3,000 YARDS . . .
• D'Angelo Brewer needs 22 yards to become just the 4th running back in school history to rush for over 3,000 career yards … he now has 2,978 career yards and 19 touchdowns on 579 carries.
• He jumped from 9th place to 4th place on the school's all-time rushing chart with his 262-yard rushing performance against Louisiana in the second game of the season.
• He came into that Louisiana game with 2,433 career rushing yards and ended with 2,695 career yards.
• In each of the next two weeks, he has gone over 100 yards with 152 rushing yards
against Toledo and 131 yards vs. New Mexico.
• Brewer is now 537 yards away from moving up any further on the career rushing
list … Trey Watts (2010-13) is in third place with 3,515 yards.
• Brewer now has 12 career 100-yard rushing games … he is tied with Gordon Brown (1984-85) for the 4th most 100-yard rushing games in school history … trailing Micheal Gunter (16; 1980-83), Tarrion Adams (16; 2005-08), and Trey Watts (15; 2010-13).
GOING BACK TO HAWAI'I FOR TWO COACHES IN THIS TULSA-NAVY MATCH-UP . . .
• Tulsa associate head coach and co-defensive coordinator Brian Norwood moved to Hawaii from Maryland prior to the 9th grade when his father was transferred to Hickam Air Force Base.
• Norwood became best friends with Ken Niumatalolo, now the Navy head coach, after meeting in the 9th grade.
• The two attended Radford High School in Honolulu, won a state championship and went on to play at the University of Hawai'i.
• At Radford, Norwood was the student body president in 1982-83 as a senior, his vice-president was Ken Niumatalolo.
• Norwood and Niumatalolo were assistant coaches together at Navy from 1995-99.
FRESHMEN GETTING PLAYING TIME . . .
• There have been 15 freshmen who have played in their first collegiate game this season, including 7 true freshmen, including one walk-on, and 8 red-shirt freshmen.
• The true freshmen who have played this year include – RB Shamari Brooks, CB Akayleb Evans, DT Garrett Flanary, CB Allie Green IV, DS Adam Higuera, S Ryan McDaniel and WR Keylon Stokes.
• Flanary and Evans have started on the Hurricane defense, while Higuera is the starting deep snapper … Flanary started against Toledo and New Mexico, while Evans was in the starting lineup in his first collegiate game against New Mexico.
• It took true freshman Shamari Brooks only 3 games to have his first career 100-yard rushing game … he had 141 yards and 3 TDs at Toledo in a reserve role.
REDFORD CLOSING IN ON SCHOOL SCORING MARK . . .
• Senior placekicker Redford Jones came into the season with 239 points, needing
60 points to tie for the school's all-time scoring record.
• After scoring 34 points in the first three games on 5-of-5 field goals and 19-of-29 PATs, Jones now has 273 career points, ranking 5th on the school's all-time list.
• This year, Jones has scored 6 points vs. Oklahoma State, 12 vs. Louisiana , 9 vs. Toledo and 7 vs. New Mexico.
• Jones is now only 26 points shy of the school record of 299 points, held by another kicker Kevin Fitzpatrick (2008-11).
• His 43 career field goals made ranks 7th on Tulsa's all-time chart, as he trails the all-time leader, Jason Staurovsky (53 FGs, 1981, '83-85) by 10 field goals.
• Jones had a career-best 50-yarder against New Mexico, bettering his previous- best of 46 yards … the 50-yarder was the first 50-yard field goal for a Tulsa kicker in Nov. 25, 2011.
