Tulsa Finishes One Two Three in the Men’s Mile Run at Arkansas Invite

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Ben Preisner, Ellis Coon and Mark Middleton sweep the top-three places in the mile run at the Arkansas Invite on Friday. Aleks Rapp brought home first place in the weight throw.

Preisner secured first place in the mile run with a time of 4:11.19. Coon posted a time of 4:11.58, to finish right behind Preisner for second. Fellow Golden Hurricane Middleton locked down the third-place spot with a time of 4:12.20.

Rapp notched his second first-place finish of the season in the weight throw, as he hurled a toss of 20.14 meters (66-01.00).

Hutch Helbig collected a third-place jump of 1.90 meters (6-02.75) in the high jump.  

Bailey Stewart and Robert Tully each collected fourth-place finishes. Stewart ran the 400-meters in 48.45, while Tully ran 2:26.89 in the 1,000-meters.

Allison Bailey placed the highest of any TU women, with a third-place finish. Bailey recorded a time of 2:10.72 in the 800-meters. She placed the highest of the college athletes, as an Adidas and Nike runner finished ahead of her.

Baylor Reese placed fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.74 meters (48.04.5).
