TULSA, Okla. — Fresh off a double-overtime win over UConn on Wednesday night, the Tulsa men's basketball team will take to the road for a 3 p.m. matchup at Memphis on Saturday, Jan. 6, at FedExForum.

The Golden Hurricane (10-5, 3-0) will look to stay unbeaten in American Athletic Conference play and the team is off to its best start in the league action since the 2014-15 campaign. Corey Henderson Jr. helped TU win its sixth game in the last seven contests with career highs of 30 points and seven rebounds against the Huskies. His eight 3-pointers pushed the team to a conference-record 17 triples in the contest to improve to 4-0 at home against UConn.

Picked to finish ninth in The American Preseason Poll, the Tigers (9-6, 0-2) return four letterwinners and a pair of starters from last year's team that went 19-13 overall and finished fifth in the league with a 9-9 mark. Junior guard Jeremiah Martin leads the Tigers at 16.5 points and 3.7 assists per game, while junior forward Kyvon Davenport is averaging 12.7 points and a team-high 6.1 rebounds per outing.

Memphis is 9-1 at home this season, with its only loss coming to LSU (71-61) on Dec. 28. The Tigers opened conference play with road losses at Cincinnati (82-48; Dec. 31) and UCF (65-56; Jan. 3).

Tulsa 3 Party

• Henderson became the sixth player in American Athletic Conference history to hit at least eight 3-pointers in a game and the first to do it since UCF's Matt Williams hit a league-record 11 on Jan. 17, 2017.
