Start to Women's Golf Spring Season Delayed until Tuesday

TULSA, Okla. – Due to wet conditions, The Dickson presented by ICON Information Consultants, hosted by the University of Houston, has been delayed until tomorrow. The tournament has been reduced from 54 holes to 18 holes on Tuesday with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. The Dickson is the spring season opener for the Tulsa women's golf team. The event was originally scheduled to takes place over two days, Monday-Tuesday, Feb. 26-27, with 36 holes being played on Monday and the final 18 holes Tuesday.
The Golden Hurricane enter the tournament with just four healthy players. A quartet of juniors – Olivia Jackson, Nicole Marquardt, Johanna Samuelsson and Anneke Strobach – will battle the par 72, 6,392-yard Woodlands Country Club course in The Woodlands, Texas.
Samuelsson completed the fall season as Tulsa's low scorer with a stroke average of 73.9 in 15 rounds, while Strobach turned in an average of 74.9, also in 15 rounds.
The field at the 2018 Dickson Invitational is comprised of 16 teams, including Charlotte, Clemson, Florida State, Iowa State, Ken State, Mississippi State, North Texas, Purdue, SMU, TCU, Texas State, Texas Tech, Troy, Tulsa, UTSA and host Houston.
