Golden Hurricane Travels to Texas for Two Matches this Week

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa men's tennis team returns to action Wednesday after taking a week off from competition. The Golden Hurricane travels to Arlington, Texas, for a match against UT Arlington on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 10:30 a.m. and then makes a trip to Fort Worth, Texas, for a matchup against No. 26 TCU also on Feb. 28, with a 5:30 p.m. start time.

This marks the first time since the 2008-09 season that Tulsa and UT Arlington have played, where Tulsa won, 6-1. TU won the only other meeting in the last 20 years between the programs, 6-1, in 2002-03.

Last season, the Horned Frogs knocked off Tulsa, 4-0. TCU has won the last three meetings. The Horned Frogs feature three nationally ranked singles players, No. 27 Alastair Gray, No. 42 Alex Rybakov, and No. 47 Trevor Johnson. On the doubles side, Gray and Rybakov are ranked No. 13, while Guillermo Nuñez and Rybakov hold the No. 57 spot.
