Baseline to Baseline: Alex Foree

Junior forward Alex Foree is in his second season as a member of The University of Tulsa basketball team and his third year as a member of the program. Foree was a student-manager in 2015-16 before earning a spot on the team as a walk-on prior to the 2016-17 campaign. Prior to the team's game at Temple on Jan. 17, head coach Frank Haith surprised Foree with a scholarship for the spring 2018 semester.
 
The Fort Smith, Ark., native has appeared in three games over his two seasons on the team, including a pair of contests this season. In TU's win over ECU on Dec. 28, Foree came off the bench and scored his first points and grab his first rebound.
 
Prior to his time at TU, Foree was a four-year letterwinner at Southside High School in Fort Smith, Ark. He was named the MVP of the Northwest Arkansas Senior Showcase and was selected to the Five Star Basketball Top-20 Team. In addition, he lettered three years in track & field.
