
Tulsa Collected Eight First-Place Finishes at Tulsa Duels

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa track and field team hosted its annual Tulsa Duels Saturday at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, as it opened the outdoor portion of the season. The Golden Hurricane posted eight first-place finishes on the day.
Aaliyah Birmingham led the field in the 400-meters, with a time of 54.60. Ca'Purnika Galbert finished second with a mark of 55.74. Breonna Hall posted a time of 56.34, as she claimed third place.
Nicole Lee dominated the 3,000-meters, as she notched a time of 10:39.85, 11 seconds fast than the second place finisher.
Kiarra Reed placed first with a time of 1:00.83 in the 400-meter hurdles. Teammate Kassidy Shuaib finished third with a time of 1:05.58.
Candalyn Lyons claimed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.95.
The team of Galbert, Hall, Birmingham, and Lyons placed second in the 4x100-meter relay, as they posted a combined time of 45.84.
Reed, Lyons, Galbert, and Hall combined for a mark of 3:45.08 in the 4x400-meter relay, as they took home first place.
Baylor Reese tossed the discus 42.71 meters (140-1.49) on her way to a second-place finish.
Ali Lund placed second in the javelin, as she posted a mark of 38.45 meters (126-1.77).
On the men's side, Bailey Stewart earned a third-place finish in the 200-meters, with a time of 21.78. Stewart also placed third in the 400-meters, as he ran 48.13.
Robert Tully brought home first in the 800-meters with a mark of 1:50.60. Braydon Rennie ran a 1:54.26, on his way to a third-place finish.
Steven Salvano ran an 8:49.57, as he claimed the number one position in the 3,000-meters.
Henry Visser posted a time of 54.14 in the 400-meter hurdles, as he took second.
In the 2,000-meter steeplechase, Reed Sahadevan finished second with a time of 6:18.98.
The team of Visser, Stewart, Zachary Adee, and Grey Howard combined for a time of 3:16.76 in the 4x400-meter relay.
Hutch Helbig jumped 1.90 meters, as he placed third in the high jump.
Aleks Rapp claimed the top spot in the discus with a hurl of 45.74 meters (150-0.78).
The Golden Hurricane returns to the track on March 23, for the Arkansas Spring Invitational, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
