
Tulsa Travels to Texas for Matchup Against No. 17 Texas Tech on Wednesday

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa women's tennis team travels to Dallas, Texas, for a neutral site contest against the No. 17 Texas Tech Lady Raiders. The match is Wednesday, March 28, at 6 p.m.
The Golden Hurricane blanked SMU and Tulane over the weekend, but fell four spots in the latest Oracle/ITA rankings to the No. 27. Ksenia Laskutova and Martina Okalova are still ranked No. 75 and No. 109 respectively.
Martha Matoula was just named The American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, after she went a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles matches. She played a key roll in the Hurricane's victories over SMU and Tulane.
The Golden Hurricane won the last meeting against Texas Tech, 4-3, back in 2010-11. Texas Tech comes into the match with an overall record of 11-4. The Lady Raiders have four ranked singles players, No. 11 Gabriela Talaba, No. 41 Felicity Maltby, No. 78 Sabrina Federici, and No. 85 Sarah Dvorak. Dvorak and Federici are the No. 8 ranked doubles pair, while Talaba and Maltby are ranked No. 68.
