Tulsa Falls to No. 14 Oklahoma State

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa men's tennis team hosted the No. 14 ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Friday afternoon. Jarod Hing and Joshua Goodgoer knocked off the No. 30 ranked doubles team of Julian Cash and Luke Hammond, but Tulsa (7-10) fell to No. 14 OSU (14-3), 4-0.

Goodger and Hing broke Cash and Hammond on their first service of the match to take a 1-0 lead. The two tandems would remain on service, until Goodger and Hing won the match, 6-4, as they completed the upset of the No. 30 doubles team.

Brady Draheim and Eleftherios Theodorou defeated Louis Corker and Mitchell Pritchard in the No. 3 spot, 6-4. Artur Dubinski and Jurence Mendoza bested Majed Kilani and Lucca Baptista, 6-4, in the No. 2 position. The Cowboys held a 1-0 lead as the
match went to singles competition.

Draheim claimed the first singles victory as he defeated Corker, 6-0 and 6-1, in the No. 6 singles match. Tristan Meraut bested Baptista at the No. 4 spot, 6-3 and 6-3, to put Oklahoma State up 3-0 for the match. Dubinski defeated Goodger at the No. 2 position, 7-6 (8-6) and 6-3, to claim the match for the Cowboys.

The Golden Hurricane falls to 7-10 on the season. Tulsa returns to action on Sunday, March 11, as it hosts Drake at 10 a.m. and Omaha at 3 p.m.
