New Seating Plans Unveiled for Tulsa Football Season in 2018

TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa athletics unveiled plans today to change seating areas at H.A. Chapman Stadium for the 2018 season in trying to encourage a better game day experience and more fan engagement.

General Admission seating will now be available, the Mazzio's Family Fun Zone has moved to Section 114 with a minimum of only a two-seat purchase, totaling $100. The TU student section and Sound of the Hurricane band will now be located on the southeast side of the stadium in Sections 107 and 108.

The adjustments to stadium seating have been created with the intent to improve the overall game day atmosphere for all fans, student engagement, increase overall crowd noise and create a better home field advantage for the Golden Hurricane football team.

The General Admission seating has been created in Sections 102 and 103 on the East Side of the Stadium and are priced at $60 for the 6-game home schedule. A season ticket in the General Admission seating area is a savings of $30 from that of a $15 single-game walk-up priced ticket.

The Mazzio's Family Fun Zone, now located in Section 114, provides more flexibility for families. Now, the Mazzio's Family Fun Zone fits the size of the family. Each adult ticket in the family zone is $75 and each youth ticket is only $25, so now families can purchase the exact amount of tickets needed for their family size at a reasonable price. In contrast, the Mazzio's Family Fun Zone last year was limited to four family members for $195 and any extra child was another $35.

In addition, the grassy area south of the new Mazzio's Family Fun Zone area will include entertainment for the kids, such as inflatable games, face painting and more.

Patrons wishing to keep their current Mazzio's Family Fun Zone seats will have the opportunity to do so.

The new location of the student section is intended to bring the TU students closer to the action on the field, and in turn create more encouragement and a raucous environment for Tulsa players. Fans for the visiting team will move to Section 101 in the northeast side of the stadium.

In addition, paid parking lots were opened last year on campus at 4^th street for only $10 and will be in effect for the 2018 season.

A Spring Football Ticket Special to kick-off 2018 Tulsa Golden Hurricane season ticket sales will begin on Sunday, March 18. Details outlining the ticket special will be announced next week.
