Tulsa Women Golfers Finish in 7th Place at the #TheDaleMac

TULSA, Okla. – Down one golfer, the Tulsa women's golf team turned in a final round score of 305 Tuesday at the Dale McNamara Invitational for a final score of 911. The Golden Hurricane placed 7th overall in the 13-team field, while 17th-ranked Oklahoma State held off a late charge by Texas A&M to win the tournament title at the par-70 Tulsa Country Club course.
A pair of Tulsa juniors, Olivia Jackson and Johanna Samuelsson, finished in 8th and 9th place respectively. Jackson had a final round 76 and finished the 54-hole event with a 7-over par 217 score, while just behind her was Samuelsson with a 218 total score. Samuelsson carded Tulsa's best round of the day with an even-par 70, as she had three birdies and three bogeys for her final round.
Tulsa's Nikki Marquardt finished in 46th place with a final score of 236, while Anneke Strobach placed 57th overall with a 240 total
The OSU Cowgirls scored a final round 293 for an 865 total, and bested second-place Texas A&M (870) by five strokes. Rounding out the top-5 schools were Texas Tech (887), Texas State (889) and Mississippi State (892).
Tulsa will be in action beginning Sunday at the American Athletic Conference in Palm Coast, Florida at the Hammock Beach Golf & Spa Resort. The event runs Sunday-Tuesday, April 15-17.
