TULSA, Okla. – Emily Watson recorded five strikeouts and allowed just three hits, but Jocelyn Alo's solo homer was enough as No. 2 Oklahoma slipped past Tulsa, 1-0, in front of the largest home crowd (1,300) in program history on Tuesday night at Collins Family Softball Complex.

Julia Hollingsworth, Morgan Neal and Mikayla Whitten each had hits for the Golden Hurricane (26-18), who will return to American Athletic Conference play this weekend at Houston. Watson held the high-scoring Oklahoma offense to its second-lowest output of the season.

Meanwhile, Alo's 19th homer of the season allowed the Sooners (39-2) to extend their NCAA-leading winning streak to 30 games. Mariah Lopez improved to 13-0 after she allowed two hits and struck out five in 5.1 innings, while Paige Lowary had three strikeouts in 1.2 frames of relief to pick up her seventh save of the spring.

Locked in a pitchers' duel, Watson and Lopez matched each other through two no-hit innings before Alo put the Sooners on the board with her two-out solo homer in the top of the third.

Hollingsworth picked up TU's first hit with a single up the middle to start the home-half of the fourth, but she was retired trying to go from first to third on Shelby Estocado's bunt. An inning later, Whitten singled and moved to scoring position following a sacrifice bunt, but Lopez was able to get out of the inning with a grounder.

With one out in the sixth, Lopez was lifted for Lowary and she got a pair of grounders to end the inning.

TU had one last chance in the bottom of the seventh and Neal started the frame with a single to left-center, putting the tying run on base. However, Lowary closed out the contest by striking out the next three batters to end the contest at 1-0.

The Hurricane will return to action this weekend for a three-game series at Houston (27-16, 6-6), beginning with a 6 p.m. matchup on Friday, April 20.
