Box Score

Tulsa, Oklahoma - For the second time in the past three games, Tulsa freshman Danielle Fauteux turned a hat trick with three goals and led the Golden Hurricane to a 4-0 victory over Drury in the Golden Hurricane Classic at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex.

Fauteux notched two first half goals, while classmate Jamie German posted one goal and picked up her fifth assist of the year on Fauteux's second goal. Fauteux put Tulsa on the board early when she nailed a kick from the left side into the right side of the net at 8:13. Junior Keely Flynn, who played a perfect pass to Fauteux on the play, picked up the assist on the score.

A little over seven minutes later, a Drury player fouled a TU player inside the penalty box and the Hurricane was awarded a penalty kick. German, a native of nearby Owasso, converted the charity kick into TU's second goal of the game at the 15:22. German and Fauteux hooked up at the 21:51 mark when Fauteux launched a shot over Panther goalkeeper Jen Grib into the left corner of the net for her second goal of the game.

TU led 3-0 at halftime and TU sophomore goalkeeper Abby Fahrig replaced freshman starter Kelly Wilson to begin the second half. After several scoreless minutes, senior Julie Twellman found Fauteux on the right side with a pass and Fauteux promptly blasted a shot from eight yards out into the back of the net for her third goal of the contest and second career hat trick at 67:04. Twellman collected her 14th career assist and moved into a three-way tie with former TU standouts Paige Mayer (1994-98) and Kelly Noonan (1997-2000) for seventh-place on TU's career assist chart. The assist was also Twellman's 60th career point, which moved her into an eighth-place tie with Mayer on the school's career scoring list.

Fahrig earned two saves in the final period and combined with Wilson to pitch the Hurricane's first shutout of the season. Tulsa improved to 3-4-1 this season, while Drury remained winless at 0-8-1.
