FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Terry Pettis scored 20 points and Mustafa Al-Sayyad had 11 points and 14 rebounds as Fresno State held on for a 68-61 victory over Tulsa on Saturday night.

The Bulldogs (10-7, 6-2 Western Athletic Conference) snapped a two-game losing streak and avoided their first three-game skid of the season.

Jason Parker scored a career-high 30 points to lead Tulsa (6-10, 2-5), Anthony Price added 14 points for the Golden Hurricanes.

Fresno State led by as many as 19 points in the second half, but Parker and Price sparked a Tulsa comeback that cut the lead to 57-52 with 4:28 to play.

Pettis answered with a three-point play on a layup and a free throw, and Fresno State hung on the rest of the way.

Leading only 16-13 in the first half, Fresno State took control of the game with a 10-0 run over a 5:09 stretch. The Bulldogs finished the half with a 38-22 lead.

Fresno State dominated the boards 46-29, establishing a season high for rebounding. Tulsa ranks last in the conference in rebounding.

The Bulldogs' biggest lead of the game came with 18:30 to play, when Shantay Legans hit a 3-pointer to put Fresno State ahead 41-22.
