Matoula Advances to Second Round of Main Draw at Norman Open Series Women's 15K

NORMAN, Okla. - Tulsa women's tennis alum Martha Matoula came from behind to defeat Ariana Arseneault of Canada 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 in her singles main draw on Wednesday at the Norman Open Series Women's 15K. The single-elimination tournament is part of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour, and is being played at the Oklahoma University Tennis Club.

After falling in the opening set, she won the second and third set 6-2, 6-2 to survive another day.

Matoula is set to face Amy Zhu of the United States in the second round of the main draw on Thursday, Oct. 3.
