Tseng, Thomas Lead Tulsa Golfers at Sam Golden Invitational

DENTON, Texas –– Lorena Tseng and Lilly Thomas led the Tulsa Golden Hurricane into seventh place on the first day of the Sam Golden Invitational Monday at the par-72 Wildhorse Golf Course at Robson Ranch.
The two golfers sit in a 6th place tie after opening with 36-hole totals of 6-under par 138 heading into Tuesday's final round. AS a team, the Hurricane is also in 6th place after turning in a score of 7-under par 569.
Oklahoma State leads the field with a 19-under par score of 557, followed by Texas Tech (558), Oklahoma (560), TCU (563) and Texas A&M (564).
For the Hurricane, Tseng turned in a morning round of 4-under par 68 and came back in the afternoon with a 2-under par 70. Thomas' 36-hole score included rounds of 72 and 66. Her score of 66 tied for the best 18-hole score of the tournament and was her career-best round.
Haley Greb turned in rounds of 72 and 74 for a 2-over par 146, which puts her in a tie for 41st place. Freshman Lovisa Gunnar opened her collegiate career with an first round score of 1-over par 73 and closed the day with a 74 for a 43rd place score of 3-over par 147.
Freshman Hanna Robinette finished the day with a score of 165.
The final 18 holes of the 54-hole event tees off at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
