Tulsa Softball Signs Five to Class of 2027

"We're stacking good on good with this class, not just in their talents, but the kind of people they are off the field," said head coach Crissy Strimple. "This group brings balance across the board – pitching, infield, and outfield depth, left- and right-handed hitters, and game changing speed."
 
Kaydence Batt | Infield | Pocola, Oklahoma | Pocola High School | R/R
 
Career Highlighs: Three-time state runner-up with a career batting average of .416. Batt earned All-District, All-Region, and All-State honors as a senior with a .465 batting average.
 
"Kaydence adds more winning experience with state-level success," said Strimple. "She's a middle infielder by trade with a right-handed bat full of upside and ability. Her instincts and athleticism make her a great fit for our program."
 
Autumn Kinnaird | Outfield | Neosho, Missouri | Neosho High School | L/R
 
Career Highlights: Batted .466 in high school with 189 hits. Recorded 19 home runs, 40 doubles, and 10 triples while dricing in 89. Swiped 65 bases while also drawing 81 walks.
 
"Autumn is a 5-8, left-handed hitter with real power potential," said Strimple. "She's got a strong presence at the plate and we're excited to watch her growth and development over the next several years."
 
Madelyn Lee | Infield | Leander, Texas | Leander High School | L/R
 
Career Highlights: Had 70 hits with a .522 batting average and a 1.205 on-base plus slugging percentage as a junior after hitting .467 with a 1.046 OPS as a sophomote. She has swiped 70 bases over the last two seasons.
 
"Maddie is a speed player with middle infield experience who can set the table offensively," said Strimple. "Her aggressive baserunning and ability to create pressure will fit perfectly into our offensive identity."
 
Taylan Starr | Outfield | Morris, Oklahoma | Preston High School | R/R
 
Career Highlights: Hit .478 for her high school career with a .518 on-base percentage. Slugged 20 home runs with 59 doubles and 22 triples and drove in 141 in 446 at bats. She also stole 80 bases in her career. She was named All-State and was Conference MVP as a junior and a senior.
 
"Taylan is athletic and versatile, with great speed and a fun, dynamic presence both in the box and the field," said Strimple. "She's the kind of all-around player who brings energy and impact wherever she's playing."
 
Mikena Wilson | Pitcher | Duncan, Oklahoma | Duncan High School | R/R
 
Career Highlights: Won 18 games in the circle while tossing 148.2 innings. Pitched to a 0.80 ERA in her high school career.
 
"Mikena is a pwerful right-handed pitcher who continues to impress each outing," said Strimple. "She's a proven leader, helping guide her high school team to the state tournament, and she brings a confident, competitive presence to the circle.
 
"We're thrilled to welcome Autumn, Maddie, Taylan, Mikena, and Kaydence to the Tulsa Softball family. This class brings talent, character, and a drive to compete that will continue to 'Raise the Flag'."
