The Tulsa men's soccer team battled Cincinnati to a 1-1 double-overtime tie on Saturday night at Getter Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.  TU moved to 4-4-2 on the season and 0-1-1 in American Athletic Conference play, while UC moved to 5-4-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the league.

"I thought our performance was really quite good overall," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "Our movement was good upfront, we connected better and felt like we controlled much of the game, but we were a little unfortunate not to get another goal."

Geoffrey Dee put the Golden Hurricane on the board with just 12:48 ticked off the clock as he drilled in a shot from 30 yards out.  Neither team found the back of the net for the remainder of the half and TU took a 1-0 advantage into the break.

Christian Hay evened the score quickly in the second frame as he redirected a free kick taken by Adam Wilson in the 49th minute.  The two teams battled through two overtimes, but the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Tulsa had a 21-12 lead in shots, including a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal, while both teams had eight corner kicks.

Cameron Drackett and Miguel Velasquez both had a team-best four shots, Dee and Lesley Nchanji added three attempts, and Kay Duit and Ray Saari each had two shots.  Brandon Hanat logged all 110 minutes between the posts and had three saves.

Tulsa will return to action on Wednesday, October 7 against USF.  Game time is set for 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
