Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team to Host 22nd-Ranked Saint Louis in Season Opener

The Tulsa men's soccer team will open the 2015 campaign against 22nd-ranked Saint Louis on Friday, August 28 at 8:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU will also host Sacramento State this weekend beginning at 7:00 pm on Sunday.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688. Youth 12 and under can get in free by wearing a soccer jersey, and TU students can show their student ID to receive free admission at the gate. Also, the first 300 students will receive a free Sno-Cone.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allows you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
The Golden Hurricane returns 13 letterwinners, including six starters, and six squad members, and welcomes 11 newcomers to the roster. TU won the 2014 American Athletic Conference Championship, advanced to the first round of the NCAA Tournament and tallied an 11-6-3 overall record a year ago.
Ray Saari and Cameron Drackett are TU's returning scoring leaders from last season, as Saari had six goals and two assists for 14 points, and Drackett had four goals and three assists for 11 points. Jake McGuire returns for his third season in goal. He has 115 saves, nine shutouts and a 1.06 goals-against average in his career.
SLU netted a 14-5-2 overall record, including a 2-0 win over Tulsa in the NCAA Tournament First Round, before falling in the second round last year. Sacramento State recorded six wins last season.
TU fell to the Billikens in the opening round of the 2014 NCAA Tournament, but this will be the first meeting against the Hornets.
