Tulsa’s Matthew Puig Named The American Rookie of the Week

Tulsa men's soccer player Matthew Puig was named this week's American Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week, as announced today by the league office.
Puig, a freshman forward from Edmond, Okla., led the Golden Hurricane to wins over #6 Creighton and UCF last week as he had two goals and seven shots. He had a team-best six shots in 78 minutes, and scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute against #6 Creighton. Puig then scored in the 81st to put TU up 2-1 over UCF, a game TU ended up winning 3-2.
