Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team to Host Three Exhibition Contests

The Tulsa men's soccer team will host three exhibition contests in preparation for the 2016 regular season. All three games will be played at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
The Golden Hurricane will begin with a game against NSCAA preseason fourth-ranked Maryland on Sunday, August 14th at 11:00 am. The Terrapins tallied a 12-5-6 overall record, won the Big Ten Conference tournament and advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals last season.
Up next is a game against Oklahoma Wesleyan on Friday, August 19, followed by Central Arkansas on Saturday, August 20. Both contests are set to begin at 7:00 pm. The Eagles were Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament champions a year ago, posting a 20-1 overall record and finishing in the second round of the NAIA Soccer Championship. The Bears had a 2-15-1 mark last season.
TU tallied an 8-6-7 overall record, won the American Athletic Conference tournament title for the second-straight season, and advanced to the NCAA Championship Second Round last season. The Hurricane welcomed back 13 letterwinners, including eight starters from a year ago, under the direction of Head Coach Tom McIntosh, who is in his 22nd season.
