Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team Hosts UMKC in Home Opener on Wednesday

The Tulsa men's soccer team will host UMKC in the home opener on Wednesday, August 31, beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate (cash only), online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
The Golden Hurricane dropped a 2-1 decision to CSUN in the season opener in Northridge, Calif., last weekend. Juan Sanchez scored the TU goal in the 60th minute as he drilled in a pass from Quinton Duncan. Tulsa had a 19-6 lead in shots, including a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal, and an 8-0 lead in corner kicks.
UMKC was slated to open their season against Central Arkansas last week, but after playing the first 45 minutes of the contest, the game was called due to inclement weather. Per NCAA rules, games that do not last 70 minutes in length are not deemed official.
