Tulsa Trio Earn American Athletic Conference Players of the Week Accolades

Tulsa seniors Ray Saari, Quinton Duncan and Jake McGuire were named the American Athletic Conference Offensive, Defensive and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, as announced today by the league office.
TU claimed the UAB Soccer for a Cure Classic tournament title last week as they picked up a 1-0 win over host UAB and tied Stetson, 2-2.
Saari scored the game-winning goal against UAB and picked up an assist on TU's first goal against Stetson. He played 156 minutes, attempted three shots, and had one goal and one assist on the weekend. For his effort, Saari was named to the all-tournament team.
Duncan played all 200 minutes and attempted one shot on the weekend, while helping the Golden Hurricane pick up a shutout over UAB. For his efforts, he was named the Tournament MVP and was selected to the all-tournament team.
McGuire logged all 200 minutes between the posts this weekend, picked up three saves and earned a shutout over UAB. His shutout was his 13th of his career as he now ties Tyrel Lacey (2005-08) for the most career shutouts with records dating back to 1996.
