Tulsa men's soccer player Jacob Gooden was named to the Jewish Sports Review College All-America Soccer Team, as announced today by the same publication.

"It was a break-through season for Jacob," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said.  "I'm proud of Jacob for earning this recognition.  He came in and started some games, scored some big goals, including the game-winner over Memphis and UMKC, and he kept us going up front in the early part of the season.  Jacob played a very big role in our attack, especially early on, and it was great to see.  His movement off the ball is as good as any player we've coached recently."

Gooden, a sophomore midfielder/forward from Malibu, Calif., scored four goals, two of which were game winners, this past season.  He also added two assists for 10 points, while attempting 32 shots, 17 of which were on goal.  Gooden started in 11 of 20 contests, played over 970 minutes, and ranked third in both goals and points, and second in shots attempted for the Golden Hurricane this season.
