
Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team Hosts Temple on Saturday

The Tulsa men's soccer team will host Temple on Saturday, October 21 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
The Golden Hurricane enters the contest with a 4-6-1 overall record and a 1-3 mark in American Athletic Conference play. Tulsa has earned wins over #1 Stanford and Denver, both of which were 2016 College Cup teams, and currently has an RPI of #49, the fourth highest in The American behind SMU (18), USF (32) and UConn (34). The Golden Hurricane also has the No. 2 ranked strength of schedule in the country.
Tulsa has 14 goals on the season from nine different scorers, including a team-best three goals from senior Rollie Rocha. Munashe Raranje, Gustavo Vargas and Miguel Velasquez each have two scores, while Marcel Da Silva has played the majority of minutes in goal and has 34 saves.
Temple has a 7-6-1 overall record, including a 2-2 mark in The American. Thibault Candia has team-bests of five goals and 11 points, and Alan Camacho Soto has four goals on the year. Alex Cagle and Michael Sammik have a combined 30 saves and three clean sheets.
Tulsa has a 2-0-1 lead in the all-time series with Temple, but the Golden Hurricane and Owls tied last season, 1-1, in Philadelphia.
