Tulsa’s Miguel Velasquez Named to United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Team

Tulsa men's soccer player Miguel Velasquez was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region third team, as announced by the organization.

A sophomore forward from San Antonio, Texas, Velasquez had team-highs of four goals, five assists and 13 points, while starting in nine of 14 games. He also had a team-leading 42 shots, 17 of which were on goal. Velasquez scored just 21 minutes into the season on a penalty kick against #25 Wisconsin, had the game-winner against Denver, and also recorded goals against Temple and Memphis, while he had one assist against five different teams.

Velasquez is the sixth All-East Region selection since 2015 and 66^th all-region honoree in program history.
