Senior Eric Coley equalled his career-best and school-record
tying eight steals against Rice, but more
importantly, with his eighth theft in the game he
became the Western Athletic Conference's all-time
steals leader, surpassing Tim Hardaway's (UTEP,
1986-89) 262 steals.
? Against SMU
(3-4-00), Coley had four steals and established
three records for steals. He became Tulsa's
all-time leader, surpassing Steve Harris'
(1981-85) total of 271 steals. He now has 293
career steals.
? With 117 steals on
the year, Coley owns both the school and WAC
single-season record for steals. He surpassed
Paul Pressey's (1980-81) mark of 96 steals for
the TU single-season record set in 1980-81, and
passed Mike Jones (TCU, 1997-98) for the WAC
single-season mark.
